On this date in 1945, the biggest decision ever made by a U.S. President was made by Harry Truman to end the brutality of WWII. It was a necessary movement to prevent further loss of life throughout the world and finally bring peace back to civilization. Seems hard to believe that such destruction could be the beginning of the end, but it was. And it also set the stage for future military decisions by countries just knowing that this ultimate weapon exists. Whether we want to believe it or not, it probably prevented WWIII from happening at some point within the past 70 years. And that the lives that were lost were not lost in vain…….nuclear_bomb2
