The intent here is to not deny this historic event, but to shed light on the events that lead to this terrible moment in our history. It is most certainly worth the read. Whether you like Bill O’Reilly  (however, let’s not minimize Martin Dugard’s contributions to this book!) or not, this is an easy read and has an incredible insight to the thinking of an insane man (JWB) and what would push him to the point of taking down President Lincoln. Incredible as it may seem, the reader will be hooked as if it were a thrill novel rather than an account of something that really took place and most likely changed the course of history.

Read it.

I am reading this right now. I am at the part where the President and his wife go to see a play. Please do not put out any spoilers.
