What does a coach for a team owned by Woody Johnson have to do to get fired? Not only have the Jets under performed for the 2nd season in a row, but the coach also sacrificed the starting QB in a pre-season game that may have ended his career. This team has turned into a laughing stock, meanwhile Rex is laughing all the way to the bank. All the joking around , all the failed predictions and all of the empty seats should have been enough to wipe the slate clean and get a professional in there to run this team. I thought John Idzik was the GM, but this is a clear indication that Rex is Woody’s guy and no matter what the GM says, he stays as coach. If the owner doesn’t care what kind of product is put on the field, then the Jets will get what they deserve in 2014. With Woody the conductor and Rex the caboose, this train is sure to run out of track!   Rex+Ryan+New+York+Jets+v+Seattle+Seahawks+Z0Ag02kr6eIl

Rex did a pretty good job with a team of nobody’s and a rookie qb. No one ever expected 8 wins this year. In the famous words of Frank Costanza, ‘Im back baby!!!’

So this clown goes 8-8 and he’s a miracle worker? At best, his record this season should have been 6-10. Tampa Bay beat themselves with a defensive penalty that put the Jets in field goal range with almost no time remaining. And the Zebras hand the Jets the win by calling that bullshit “pushing the pile” new rule on the Patriots when the Jets missed the field goal attempt at the end of the game. If you were a coach that told your owner that you are going 6-10 this season, regardless of what you have in the locker room, would you expect to be retained? Idiots like Woody Johnson are exactly the reason that bums like Dennis Greene, Wayne Fontes, and Rex Ryan…hang around as head coaches WAY LONGER than they should. Congratulations Jets, you signed up for another three years of the same crap.

Well said. If….I mean when….they go 7-9 next season, that should warrant a new long term deal! And i wanted to blame the collapse on Fireman Eddie giving up his season tickets.
