Mr. Buss always seemed to put a quality team on the floor.

One of the Bear’s “Junction Boys”. Solid NFL player and coach.

The “Iron Lady” was 87 years old. She was a very influential person in bringing an end to the Cold War with the former Soviet Union along with Ronald Reagan. But it seems like this guy Putin is from the “old school” and will undue all Ms. Thatcher’s efforts to stop communism in it’s tracks. Let’s hope not.

Pat Summerall was the Number 1 announcer in sports while I was growing up. Without question. NFL, Masters, U.S. Open. Was always a class act. The sports business lost a good man. I think it’s safe to say that Jim Nantz is the new Pat Summerall. Quite a compliment to be compared to him!

Jean Stapleton’s character Edith Bunker was without question one of televisions great characters. Favorite line is when she ran into the living room screeching I got ya beeeeeeer Archie!”.

Art Donavan, what a shame, never be another one like him!!

One heck of a football player and a gentleman. And a face only a mother could love! Very funny, too. My aunt (a woman of the cloth) is friends with his sister Joan. She would vouch for Mr. Donovan.

Frank Tripuka was the patriarch of a great New Jersey sports family. QB’d Notre Dame to an unbeaten season in 1948. Son Kelly also starred at Notre Dame and played in the NBA and T.K played hoops at Fordham.
